The Instant Lo-Fi Junky from ZVEX Modular brings lush, nostalgic textures to your modular setup. Inspired by worn-out magnetic tape, it combines chorus, vibrato, compression, and high-frequency damping into a compact module full of sonic character.

At the core is the Comp/Lo-Fi control, which simultaneously applies dynamic compression and low-pass filtering — gradually transforming your clean signal into a hazy, saturated wash. Crank it up, and you’ll get that warm, warbly, tape-saturated tone reminiscent of a forgotten mixtape.

The built-in modulation oscillator features sine, triangle, and square waveforms, with CV control over frequency and modulation depth. An external CV input lets you blend your own modulation with the internal LFO, giving you even more expressive possibilities.

Even the dry/wet mix is voltage-controllable, offering smooth transitions between clean and lo-fi sound — a far more musical alternative to a simple bypass switch. Perfect for ambient pads, detuned sequences, or adding motion to static sounds.
