The WMD x MSTRKRFT TRSHMSTR is an aggressive dual-processor Eurorack module developed in collaboration with electro-dance project MSTRKRFT. It pairs a screaming, voltage-controlled bandpass filter with an overdriven distortion circuit inspired by the classic Tube Screamer pedal topology.

The TRSHMSTR is built for high-impact sound design and live performance manipulation, sweeping from subtle, musical warmth and nasal acid resonance to crushing, full-bodied overdrive and harmonic self-oscillation. It contains independent inputs and outputs for both the filter (FLTR) and drive (DRV) sections, allowing them to function as two standalone utility modules or as an integrated serial effect chain. Cross-normalized internal connections allow performers to swap the signal flow, routing the filter into the overdrive circuit or vice versa, without needing to reroute patch cables.

The filter section consists of a bandpass topology with manual knobs and CV inputs for Cutoff Frequency and Resonance. The Frequency CV path includes a bipolar attenuverter, accompanied by a dedicated 1V/Octave KEY IN jack for pitch tracking or playing the self-oscillating filter as a sine/clipped audio voice. The drive section offers voltage control over Gain and Tone (with Gain CV featuring a bipolar attenuverter) alongside a 3-position high-pass filter switch to regulate low-end rumble entering the saturation path. Both processing paths feature a 3-way "Flavor" switch to select distinct clipping diode configurations, providing nine unique sound combinations across the module.
