The Metron by WMD is a powerhouse 16-channel trigger and gate sequencer, built for modular musicians who demand flexibility, speed, and deep performance features. With support for patterns up to 256 steps per track, real-time recording, probability, ratcheting, and variations, Metron is equally at home in the studio or on stage.

Programming is intuitive — you can view 4 tracks of 16 steps simultaneously, or zoom in on a single track with up to 64 steps visible. Each channel can have a different length, allowing for complex polyrhythms. You can tap in rhythms live using the record function or build them step-by-step, classic drum-machine style. Need inspiration? Add some randomization or fine-tune your groove with group probability settings.

Metron’s performance features shine: trigger mutes, fills, repeats, ratchets, and step looping are all accessible on the fly. With five instantly recallable variations, plus the ability to cue and edit variations in the background, it’s designed for seamless, expressive sequencing without stopping the music.

It includes two assignable CV inputs, a reset output, and an internal clock with swing. All data is saved to an SD card for quick backups and pattern transfers — and firmware updates are just as easy.

Metron also serves as the central hub for an expandable system, pairing with Axxent (accent outputs) and Voltera (CV expander) to add dynamics and modulation capabilities.
