Compact Stereo Channel Strip and Performance FX Processor

The WMD Channel Surfer packs a 3-band parametric EQ, DJ-style filters, multi-FX engine, and sidechain ducker into a compact stereo Eurorack module.

This module brings traditional mixing console processing into the rack, providing end-of-chain voice shaping, submix polishing, or full stereo master bus processing. It connects directly to WMD's Performance Mixer MkII via a rear insert header, or functions as a standalone processor using its front-panel stereo audio inputs and outputs.

In use, the signal passes through a continuous, fixed serial chain: 3-band parametric EQ, high-pass and low-pass filters with drive, multi-effects (including dub delay, chorus, flanger, and reverb), and a sidechain ducker. A three-way front-panel selector switch toggles which parameters the control knobs adjust without interrupting the audio running through the other active sections. The sidechain input uses incoming triggers or kick drum gates to duck audio levels, clearing low-end headroom for punchy live mixes.

Because the front panel relies on a layered interface and shift button to manage its deep feature set, tweaking multiple non-adjacent parameters simultaneously requires toggling between control pages during a performance.
