Verbos Electronics Harmonic Oscillator

The Harmonic Oscillator by Verbos Electronics is a one-of-a-kind analog additive oscillator that outputs the first eight harmonics of a fundamental tone as individual sine waves. Built around a discrete triangle core and discrete exponential converter, this module offers the sonic depth and analog warmth that define the Verbos approach to synthesis.

At its core, this is a highly playable harmonic sound generator — ideal for creating vocal-like timbres, organ tones, and evolving textures. Each of the eight harmonic partials has a dedicated fader for level control and a CV input for modulation, making it easy to sculpt and animate your harmonic content. These harmonics are also available at individual outputs, perfect for spatial mixing in stereo or multichannel environments.

The real magic lies in the Harmonic Scan and Spectral Tilt sections:

• Harmonic Scan sweeps through the spectrum using Center and Width parameters, allowing you to emphasize or animate groups of harmonics across the frequency range.

• Spectral Tilt lets you bias the sound toward lower or higher harmonics, dynamically shifting tonal focus.

In addition to the additive section, the Harmonic Oscillator includes standard triangle, sawtooth, and square wave outputs, as well as:

• Linear FM input with attenuator

• 1V/oct and exponential FM input with polarizer

• Voltage-controlled mixer for the harmonic blend output
