Verbos Electronics Foundation Oscillator

The Foundation Oscillator by Verbos Electronics delivers the rich, analog character of their flagship oscillators in a compact 12HP format. Built around a discrete triangle-core architecture, this oscillator offers the essence of Verbos’ sonic identity with a powerful waveshaping section and versatile CV control.

On the left side, you’ll find traditional waveform outputs for triangle and square, with smooth tracking across a wide frequency range and excellent tuning stability.

The right side is where the real fun begins:
A wave multiplier and waveshaper section transforms a pure sine wave into complex, harmonically rich signals via three dedicated outputs:

• Spike (reminiscent of the Buchla Easel)

• Square (wavefolded variant)

• Saw (harmonic enhancer)

The Timbre control morphs the sine wave toward these shaped outputs, while the Richness control increases harmonic content through a wave-multiplier effect. Both controls are voltage-controllable with dedicated attenuators, allowing for dynamic timbral animation.

With five waveform outputs and full CV control over timbre and harmonic complexity, the Foundation Oscillator is a powerhouse sound source that punches far above its size.
