Portable sampler, sequencer, and sketchpad for fast beat creation
The Teenage Engineering EP-133 K.O. II is a compact sampler and groovebox built for capturing ideas quickly and turning them into full tracks. Designed around speed and immediacy, it lets you record sounds, resample them with effects, sequence patterns, and arrange complete songs without getting lost in menus.
Sampling is at the heart of the EP-133 workflow. Record sounds using the built-in microphone, capture external sources through the stereo input, or resample internal sounds with effects applied. Once recorded, samples can be chopped, pitched, filtered, and sequenced into rhythms, melodies, or textures.
The pressure-sensitive keys provide expressive control while the multifunctional fader gives quick access to performance gestures. Stereo effects, sidechain processing, and Teenage Engineering’s punch-in FX allow you to transform patterns instantly during playback, adding movement and character without interrupting the creative flow.
With 12 stereo or 16 mono voices of polyphony and expanded 128MB sample storage, EP-133 K.O. II has plenty of room for beats, loops, and layered compositions. Scenes can be chained together in song mode to build full arrangements, making it equally comfortable as a sketchpad or performance instrument.
Despite its powerful feature set, EP-133 stays extremely portable. It includes a built-in speaker, runs on four AAA batteries or USB-C power, and comes packaged in a lightweight paper-pulp case designed for everyday carry.
Whether you are sampling on the move, building beats in the studio, or performing live, EP-133 K.O. II keeps the focus on turning ideas into music as quickly as possible.
