Stereo high-pass and low-pass filters that lock together for precise or animated band-pass work
Dual Dagger is a stereo filter module built from two matched pairs of high-pass and low-pass filters. Each channel runs its own high-pass and low-pass stages with independent resonance, giving you fine control over tone shaping on both sides of a stereo signal.
A front-panel switch links the high-pass and low-pass filters per channel, turning each pair into a band-pass filter. This lets you move from broad tonal carving to focused, resonant bands without repatching. The left and right filter pairs are carefully calibrated so their response curves match, preserving a stable and believable stereo image.
In use, Dual Dagger feels deliberate and predictable. Resonance stays musical, and matched filtering keeps the center image solid when you sweep or modulate. Dedicated panorama CV inputs for the high-pass and low-pass stages allow controlled stereo motion, from subtle widening to more animated left-right movement.
Dual Dagger fits naturally at the end of a voice, on stereo effects returns, or as a performance filter for complete mixes. It rewards slow modulation, hands-on control, and patching that treats stereo as a compositional element rather than an afterthought.
