Sequential’s Fourm distills the unmistakable Prophet sound into a smaller, more immediate synthesizer that still feels properly grown up. Under the hood you get four fully analog voices built on classic Prophet architecture, delivering the weight, warmth, and authority people expect from Sequential. Dual oscillators per voice with simultaneous waveform selection and sync feed into a four-pole resonant low-pass filter, complete with bass compensation so the low end stays solid even when resonance is pushed.

A dedicated feedback and drive circuit adds extra bite when you want to move beyond polite polysynth territory. Dial it back for vintage smoothness, or lean into it for more aggressive basses and leads that cut through a mix.

Where Fourm really sets itself apart is expressiveness. The 37-note slim keyboard features true polyphonic aftertouch, allowing individual notes within a chord to swell, bend, or evolve independently. This level of control is usually found on far larger or more expensive instruments, but here it is built directly into a portable four-voice synth that invites hands-on performance.

Modulation is fast and intuitive, inspired by the Pro-One. The front-panel modulation matrix works on a simple press-a-source, press-a-destination concept, with color-coded LEDs showing active routings. It encourages experimentation without menu diving, letting you shape movement and complexity as quickly as ideas appear.
