Quad Algorithmic FX Processor

The RYK Modular SIDE FX is a multi-engine 14HP Eurorack FX processor featuring four independent digital effect blocks that can be routed in flexible parallel and serial configurations. Designed for deep audio transformation, it spans a huge sonic range from subtle chorus and spatial reverbs to mangled time-stretching, pitch shifting, and glitch processing.

SIDE FX utilizes seven distinct routing algorithms to arrange its four DSP effect blocks in various series, parallel, and dual-mono configurations—allowing two separate stereo or mono signals to be processed simultaneously through independent effect pairs. The module comes packed with a wide spectrum of sound design algorithms, including Dual Pitch Shift-Delays, Granulators, Tape and Tap Delays, Phase Shifters, Quad Resonators, Tape Simulators, Wave Shapers, APF Chains, and multiple reverb topologies (Plate, FDN, and Modal). Each effect block features dedicated manual and CV-controllable FX Sends, making it ideal for dub-style send/return manipulation and dynamic performance drops.

For extensive parameter modulation, the module provides four assignable CV inputs, a dedicated Clock input for delay/mod synchronization, and a MIDI input for external control. When external modulation sources are scarce, SIDE FX offers internal LFOs, a random voltage generator, and an envelope follower to keep parameters continuously moving. Customized FX chain configurations and user presets can be stored directly to an onboard SD card for instant recall during live performances or studio sessions.
