Rides in the Storm-XXM

XXM is a flexible mixer that works as two independent four channel mixers or as a single eight channel mix. It handles control voltages and audio with equal ease, making it useful across many patching scenarios.

Mixer section A focuses on modulation duties. Its DC coupled output preserves control voltage accuracy, and the inverted output opens up more complex relationships between signals. Use it to combine envelopes, offset LFOs against each other, or derive opposing modulation paths from the same sources.

Mixer section B adapts to both CV and audio workflows. A rear jumper selects between DC and AC coupling, so you can decide whether the section passes steady voltages or focuses purely on audio. Section B also provides a master output that sums all eight channels, which makes it easy to collapse a larger patch into a single output.

In use, XXM encourages efficient signal management. It supports precise CV shaping, clean audio mixing, and quick reconfiguration depending on the patch. The design stays neutral and predictable, prioritising clarity over character.
