Eight-track CV, gate, and MIDI sequencing in one tightly integrated module

QSQ is an eight-channel CV generator, sequencer, and MIDI to CV interface designed for modular systems that need depth without friction. It provides eight CV outputs and eight gate outputs, with each track operating independently or as part of a coordinated sequence. You can use it as a classic step sequencer, a modulation source, a MIDI bridge, or all three at once.

What sets QSQ apart is how much control lives at the track and step level. Every track has its own clock division, swing, scale, play mode, and step count. Each step goes further, with adjustable gate length, microtiming, probability, glide, retriggering, and optional per-step modulation. These tools let sequences breathe, drift, and evolve rather than loop rigidly.

In use, QSQ feels immediate despite its depth. Encoders give direct access to key parameters, with clear shortcuts for muting tracks, copying data, or applying changes across all tracks. Randomization and Euclidean pattern generation help create structure quickly, while probability and microtiming keep things human. You can shape grooves with swing, nudge steps off the grid, or push patterns into controlled chaos.

QSQ fits easily into hybrid systems. Each track can act as a MIDI to CV voice, with flexible polyphony and velocity routing. Clocking options cover modular, MIDI, and USB setups, and the CV input lets external modulation influence sequencing, tempo, or pattern selection. Song mode supports longer arrangements while still allowing live tweaks. Firmware updates over USB keep the module evolving over time.

This is not a minimal sequencer. QSQ rewards time spent learning it, and its complexity is intentional. In return, it offers a sequencing core that can replace multiple modules and adapt to studio composition or live performance without changing workflows.
