Rides in the Storm-IDA

IDA is a small, high fidelity VCA designed to handle both audio and control voltages with accuracy. It uses a fully discrete circuit that focuses on low distortion, fast response, and clear transients.

In use, IDA stays transparent. It preserves the detail and dynamics of the source instead of adding colour. This makes it just as useful for shaping envelopes and modulation depths as it is for controlling audio levels and dynamics. Percussive sounds stay sharp, and slow moving CV remains stable and predictable.

A front panel LED shows when the signal approaches clipping, which helps with gain staging in tight patches. A rear jumper lets you set the operating range to 5 V, 7.5 V, or 10 V, so the response can match the rest of your system.

The slider gives immediate, hands on control over modulation depth. It works well for performance adjustments and for dialing in precise levels without menu diving or extra utilities.

IDA fits easily into compact systems where space matters but signal quality still comes first. It offers a straightforward VCA design with intentional control and no unnecessary extras.
