Rides in the Storm - CLI

CLI is a small, direct signal clipper designed for both audio and CV. It focuses on controlled signal shaping rather than heavy handed effects, making it easy to integrate into everyday patches.

Five clipping modes range from gentle soft clipping to firm hard limiting, with additional character options in between. Use them to smooth peaks, add edge to audio, or reshape modulation signals in a predictable way. A rectifier switch converts negative voltages to positive, which opens up additional options for CV processing and waveform shaping.

Gain controls how hard the signal hits the clipping stage, while the dry and wet mix blends the processed signal back with the original. This makes it easy to add subtle texture, control dynamics, or push signals further without losing clarity.

In use, CLI stays fast and understandable. It works well as a light distortion, a crude compressor, or a CV utility for taming or reworking modulation. Its small size makes it easy to place wherever signal conditioning is needed.
