Cosmite Versio is a custom third-party alternative firmware for the Noise Engineering Versio Eurorack DSP platform. Designed as an expressive spatial delay and reverb engine, Cosmite blurs the lines between ambient spatialization, dynamic delay networks, and physical modeling modulation, offering a performable interface packed with creative DSP algorithms.

Building on the open-architecture nature of Noise Engineering's Daisy-powered Versio hardware platform, Cosmite Versio transforms any existing Versio module into a hybrid spatial reverb and delay processor. It eliminates clunky menu diving by offering a performable, non-cluttered control layout with unmapped DSP depth resting right beneath the panel controls.

Beyond classical reverberation and delay tails, Cosmite leverages multi-tap delay networks and internal feedback paths to create a wide variety of secondary modulation and time-domain effects. Performers can tweak panel controls to achieve lush choruses, sweeping flangers, metallic Karplus-Strong string synthesis, chaotic glitch/stutter textures, and dynamic rotary/Doppler modulation effects. As part of the Versio ecosystem, the module runs on standard Versio hardware, allowing users to flash the firmware for free, swap between different alternative firmwares over USB, and install custom panel overlays.
