Neuzeit Instruments Warp

Warp by Neuzeit Instruments is a visionary hybrid voice module that fuses wavetable and additive synthesis into a single, expressive Eurorack instrument. Even as a standalone unit, it delivers deep sound design potential—with 4 multi-timbral voices, two oscillators per voice, internal modulation, and a unique XY-based overtone matrix.

At its core, Warp lets you navigate across a 2D spectrum of overtone structures—each made up of up to 128 sine wave components—forming the basis for dynamic, shifting timbres. Before converting these spectra into wavetables, you can apply a powerful, modulatable spectral filter, forming the additive part of the engine.

The module excels at everything from glassy digital tones to deep and distorted textures, thanks to onboard wavetable FX like PWM Bend, Fold, Redux, and Drive. These processed waveforms are then shaped using AM, FM, PM, Sync, and Linear Detune between the two oscillators per voice.

Built-in modulation includes 2 ADSRs and 2 LFOs per voice, with a massive 8×19 modulation matrix giving you up to 152 internal modulation paths per voice, many operating at audio rate (up to 24kHz) for ultra-responsive modulation. The interface is designed for performance, with two macro knobs that can control multiple parameters simultaneously for intuitive tweaking.

Warp offers MIDI, CV, and OMNI CV control, and can act as both a playable synth voice and a wavetable factory. You can import your own content or generate wavetables from overtone drawings and audio files, then export them in flexible formats to use in other synths.

With the WarpEx expander, Warp becomes a true 4-voice polyphonic instrument with full MIDI and MPE support—allowing expressive polyphonic playing and creative modulation via touch position, pressure, and tilt.
