Make Noise Polimaths

Polimaths is the bold evolution of the legendary Maths — an 8-channel function and signal generator from Make Noise, and the third entry in their New Universal Synthesizer System (NUSS). Where Maths introduced modular users to the power of analog function generation, Polimaths takes the concept to radical new territory, offering a vast modulation ecosystem in just one module.

Rather than eight isolated generators, Polimaths uses a shared set of parameters — including Rise, Fall, Shape, Index and Spread — to shape and influence all channels simultaneously. This clever design balances global shaping with fine-tuned individuality, letting users sculpt highly dynamic, layered modulations or complex pitch-tracked signals using the V/Oct input. The OSC section can run from LFO speed into the audio range, unlocking multitimbral synthesis when paired with other modules like the QXG expander.

Polimaths offers several operating modes, including Channel Index, Round, and Parallel, enabling the generation of intricate rhythmic and spatially distributed modulations. Whether you want synchronized cycling envelopes, rotating voltages, or powerful harmonic voices, Polimaths delivers with deep flexibility and musical results.
