The New Universal Skiff System is a focused 3U modular instrument built for multi channel patching. It centers on eight voice polyphony, driven entirely by control voltage, with direct MIDI and MPE activation over USB C when you want it.

At the core sits MultiWAVE, an eight channel dual wavetable oscillator. Each channel behaves like a complete voice source, with the clarity and movement you expect from wavetable synthesis. It responds quickly to modulation and tracks cleanly across the range, so chords stay tight and animated rather than smeared.

PoliMATHS provides eight complex function generators. Think of it as a bank of envelopes, LFOs, and slew capable processors that can all interact. It handles voice level articulation just as well as slow evolving system modulation. The layout encourages consistent patching across all eight channels, so polyphonic structures remain manageable.

Two QXG modules combine for eight channels of low pass gate and mixing. This gives each voice its own amplitude and tone shaping path, with the familiar organic response of a low pass gate. The summed stereo mix includes animation controls, so you can move between voices and spaces without repatching.

MultiMod expands the modulation architecture. It takes a single control signal and generates eight time shifted variants. Subtle offsets create width and motion. Extreme offsets create cascades and rhythmic interplay. It keeps the system coherent while avoiding static repetition.

QPAS adds multi mode, multi peak stereo filtering. It processes the summed mix or external sources, bringing animated stereo movement and resonant shaping that responds beautifully to the dense modulation this system invites. XOH handles the final stereo mix and provides line level and headphone outputs, making the skiff stage and studio ready without extra utility modules.

In use, the system feels unified rather than crowded. You can patch eight related voices from a small set of controls, then scale up complexity with deeper modulation. It supports chordal playing via MIDI or MPE through the USB C input, or fully voltage controlled polyphony from an external sequencer. It rewards deliberate structure but also invites controlled chaos.
