The FSR 1U provides a physical interface for your modular system using a custom-fabricated Force Sensing Resistor. Unlike a standard button or a capacitive touch plate, the FSR responds to the amount of physical weight or pressure you apply. This allows for a more instrumental level of control, where the intensity of your touch directly correlates to the intensity of the modulation. It is particularly useful for adding human expression to filter sweeps, VCA levels, or frequency modulation depth during a performance.

In use, the module generates two simultaneous signals: a variable CV output that tracks pressure, and a gate output that stays high as long as you are touching the sensor. A dedicated Gain knob allows you to calibrate the sensitivity, ensuring the module responds correctly whether you have a light touch or prefer to press firmly. Because the sensor is analog and high-resolution, it can capture subtle vibratos or rapid percussive taps that a standard sequencer might miss.
