The Atlantix evolves the classic SH-101 architecture into a sophisticated dual-oscillator powerhouse with advanced internal routing and Thru-Zero FM.
Building on the foundation of the Atlantis, this module provides a complete synthesis path in 42HP. It retains the immediate, sliders-first workflow but moves far beyond the original inspiration by adding a second triangle-core VCO. While VCO A serves as your primary sound source with dedicated Thru-Zero FM and PWM, VCO B functions as a second audio voice, a complex modulator, or a wide-range LFO. A six-channel mixer ties these sources together, using clever normalizations to allow for quick paraphonic setups or internal feedback loops without reaching for a single patch cable.
The filter section utilizes a cascaded 4-pole design, offering six distinct modes including multi-slope lowpass, bandpass, and a specialized phaser mode. This filter tracks pitch accurately when self-oscillating, allowing it to act as an additional sine source. For final signal shaping, the VCA includes two distinct distortion circuits—asymmetric and symmetric—to add harmonic weight or aggressive clipping to the output.
Modulation is handled by the dedicated Mod X and Mod Y buses. These rotary switches allow you to instantly route eight different sources, such as VCO B or the Sample and Hold, to various destinations. This internal bus system, combined with the three-range analog ADSR, makes the Atlantix an exceptionally fast tool for live performance where complex re-patching isn't always feasible.
