A dense four-channel programmable modulation ecosystem with morphing wavetables, tap-tempo sync, and an internal routing matrix.
The Kermit MKIII consolidates complex modulation, utility generation, and audio-rate synthesis into a highly functional multi-channel workspace. Equipped with four independent channels, the module transitions seamlessly between LFO duties, one-shot envelopes, sample-and-hold circuits, and random voltage generators. All four channels can lock to an internal master tap-tempo clock or external triggers, enabling perfectly synchronized multi-stage modulation shapes across your entire system.
Beyond simple utility generation, channels A and B track 1V/Oct to function as grit-focused digital audio oscillators. The internal 16-bit DAC handles ultra-slow voltage shifts with absolute precision, while an integrated waveform character processor lets you intentionally degrade the signal path down to an 8-bit, 32-sample resolution that mirrors early arcade hardware. You can craft intricate internal patches without using physical cables by pairing the internal cross-modulation matrix with the Micro SD card slot, which imports standard 64-waveform WaveEdit files for smooth, continuous wavetable morphing.
On the front panel, primary channels A and B offer comprehensive physical controls, while channels C and D utilize shift-click shortcuts to preserve case real estate. The high-contrast OLED display reads out relevant contextual units, such as Hertz, seconds, or BPM, alongside active internal modulation assignments. To tie the entire system together, an eight-slot preset manager allows you to manually recall complete panel setups, jump between states via external triggers, or engage Morphing Mode to smoothly blend completely distinct modulation shapes into one another.
