The Expert Sleepers NTX-8CV is a 4HP utility module that serves three distinct functions: an 8-channel DC-coupled USB audio/CV output interface, a flexible USB MIDI-to-CV converter, and a multi-channel output expander for the Expert Sleepers disting NT.

Building on the circuit design lineage of the FH-2, the NTX-8CV packages extensive USB and CV connectivity into an ultra-compact 4HP footprint. Its front panel features a dual-role USB-C port alongside eight 3.5mm DC-coupled jacks, delivering precise analog control voltages, audio signals, clocks, and gate triggers.

When operating as a USB Audio Class compliant device, the module converts audio streams from DAW environments—such as Bitwig Studio's CV Tools or Expert Sleepers Silent Way—into eight discrete DC-coupled outputs. In USB MIDI mode, its dual-role USB-C port toggles between Device mode (connecting to computers or tablets) and Host mode (allowing class-compliant USB MIDI controllers to connect directly without a host computer). Additionally, the module serves as a hardware expander for the disting NT via internal ribbon cabling; multiple NTX-8CV units can be daisy-chained to expand a single system by up to 64 additional outputs.
