Configurable 8-Channel MIDI-to-CV Interface

Portail bridges hardware sequencers, software DAWs, and modular rigs using eight flexible CV and gate pairs with dynamic modulation, internal clocking, and custom signal filtering.

Eowave Portail is a versatile MIDI-to-CV interface module featuring eight control voltage outputs and eight dynamic gate outputs.

Beyond standard monophonic and polyphonic pitch conversion, Portail handles specialized routing and shaping tasks. The outputs produce dynamic gates where voltage levels scale directly with MIDI velocity, or route incoming triggers sequentially across multiple outputs to build layered drum stacks. Internal processing filters let you apply scale quantization and gate probability directly to incoming signals in real time.

When receiving control data from external gear, Portail acts as both a clock translator and an auxiliary modulation source. The module generates internal LFOs and envelopes synced to incoming MIDI clock, with parameter values easily controlled via MIDI CC.

USB-C and TRS MIDI inputs allow Portail to serve as the main communication bridge between hardware grooveboxes, keyboard controllers, computer software, and your Eurorack system.
