Polyphonic Sampler, Granular Workstation & Multitrack Sequencer

The Elektron Tonverk is a standalone polyphonic sampler, granular synth, and performance sequencer designed for deep melodic composition, complex sample manipulation, and flexible audio routing. Positioned between the workflow paradigms of the Octatrack and Digitakt, the Tonverk centers around dynamic polyphonic sample playback, onboard auto-sampling, and multitrack FX bussing.

The Tonverk features eight stereo audio tracks alongside four dedicated bus tracks, three send FX tracks, and a main mix track. Each audio track can run one of four dedicated machine modes: Single Player for polyphonic single WAV playback, Multi Player for multi-sampled instruments, Grainer for polyphonic granular synthesis and time-stretched textures, or Subtracks, which splits a single audio track into eight individual monophonic, multitimbral subtracks with independent sample and sequencer parameters. An integrated Auto Sampler allows performers to automatically record and build polyphonic multisample patches directly from external hardware or DAW setups.

Equipped with an integrated hardware keyboard pad, 36 scale modes, and a 256-step polyphonic sequencer, the Tonverk provides deep compositional tools including per-track arpeggiators, parameter locks, micro-timing, and trig conditions. Its architecture supports extensive internal and external audio routing, featuring a comprehensive suite of onboard effects (including the Steel Box reverb, Filter Folder, and Chrono Pitch) alongside flexible bus compression with selectable sidechain sources and post-FX panning.
