12-Track Hybrid Drum Computer & Synthesizer

The Elektron Syntakt is a 12-track drum machine and synthesizer that combines 8 digital FM sound engines and 4 true analog synthesis voices into Elektron’s compact desktop chassis. Built for rhythm production and melodic sound design, it features over 30 specialized synthesis machines alongside deep performance modulation and sequencing tools.

Syntakt bridges digital and analog synthesis in a single standalone unit. Its 8 digital tracks provide access to 10 digital sound machines optimized for crisp FM percussion, basslines, and leads. The 4 analog tracks feature 27 specialized analog machines derived from and expanding upon the Analog Rytm. With OS 1.40, the module introduces Twinshot, a dual-layer sample engine that allows blending, modulating, and reversing transient and body sample layers across 64 global sample slots—enabling acoustic layer blending and wavetable-style textures.

The instrument features a 64-step Elektron sequencer with parameter locks, individual pattern lengths, trig conditions, and track choking/layering. Dynamic performances are supported by a dedicated Analog FX Track with Filter Pan, four modulation tracks, customizable "Control All" parameters, and assignable trig modifiers (Mod A and Mod B). Complete with USB audio and full Overbridge integration, Syntakt functions as both a centerpiece desktop groovebox and an expanded DAW companion.
