Doepfer A-190-8 USB/Midi-to-Sync Interface

The Doepfer A-190-8 is a dedicated USB/MIDI-to-clock interface designed for synchronising your modular system with external MIDI gear or DAWs. It supports core MIDI transport commands—Clock, Start, Stop, and Continue—and translates them into multiple clock and trigger outputs to keep your Eurorack sequencers in perfect sync.

Input is via USB or 5-pin DIN MIDI (not simultaneously), with five clock outputs offering a range of divisions: 96, 32, 16 pulses per bar, a single impulse per bar, and a reset pulse for bar starts. The module also includes Start and Stop trigger outputs, and a Reset output that activates on MIDI Start after Stop—ideal for resetting sequencers like the A-155.

The unique Wait function allows you to pause the analogue clock mid-playback and resume it in perfect sync at the start of the next bar, triggered either manually or by gate input—making it great for live syncing and rhythmic transitions.
