The Doepfer A-178 (Vintage Edition) is a theremin-style controller that generates control voltage based on hand proximity to its antenna. Move your hand closer or further away to create fluid, gestural modulations in your Eurorack system. A gate output is also available, triggered when the CV crosses a user-defined threshold—ideal for triggering envelopes or events.

To fully emulate a classic theremin setup with independent pitch and volume control, a pair of A-178 modules is recommended.
