Doepfer A-174-4V Vintage Edition

The Doepfer A-174-4 is a powerful three-dimensional joystick controller that adds intuitive spatial control to your modular system. This updated version of Doepfer’s classic joystick includes rotation on the Z-axis, offering deeper interaction and performance possibilities. The Vintage Edition features a black panel and retro-style knobs.

The joystick outputs 10 control voltages in total:

• X, Y, and Z (rotation) axis voltages

• Inverted X, Y, and Z axis voltages

• Four quadrant outputs (Q1–Q4), derived from the joystick’s position and rotation relative to the module’s quadrants

Pushing the joystick also generates a gate signal, giving you another interactive dimension. The voltage range is ±5V, and an internal offset can shift this range upwards if needed.
