The Doepfer A-166 is a dual Boolean logic processor designed for combining and manipulating gate, clock, and trigger signals in a Eurorack system. It features two identical sections, each with three inputs and simultaneous outputs for AND, OR, and XOR logic operations—plus two independent logic inverters for expanding functionality.
Each section evaluates the high ("1") or low ("0") state of its inputs and generates logic outputs accordingly. Thanks to normalized inputs (1 → 2 → 3), each section can also be used with fewer than three signals. Use it to create complex rhythmic patterns, gate conditions, or generative logic patches.
The onboard inverters allow you to flip the logic state of a signal, enabling NAND, NOR, or NEXOR combinations when used with the main outputs.
