The A-156 is a dual-channel CV quantizer that transforms continuous voltages into precise, musically tuned steps. This Vintage Edition features a sleek black faceplate with custom knobs, giving it a timeless look to match its classic functionality.

Designed with a 1V/oct standard in mind, each channel locks incoming CV signals to fixed voltages in semitone increments (1/12V), making it perfect for pitch-accurate sequencing and taming unruly modulation sources like random voltages or envelopes.

The lower section includes built-in musical scales such as major, minor, chords, fifths, and optional 6th/7th chord extensions, selectable via toggle switches. By default, the upper channel quantizes chromatically, but it can be internally configured to follow the same musical scale settings as the lower unit.

A trigger input lets you clock the quantization process, syncing it rhythmically to your patch. You’ll also find a trigger output that fires each time quantization occurs — perfect for initiating envelopes or clocking downstream modules. Lastly, a global transpose input allows for key modulation across both channels.
