Doepfer A-149-2 Digital Random Voltages

The A-149-2 is an expander module for the Doepfer A-149-1 Quantized/Stored Random Voltages, designed to generate eight random gate signals that respond to the clock input of the A-149-1’s Quantized Random section. It adds rhythmic unpredictability to your modular system — ideal for triggering envelopes, firing off random percussive events, or building evolving generative patterns.

The module connects directly to the A-149-1 via an internal ribbon cable (no extra power header required) and features eight gate outputs, each with a dedicated LED to indicate activity. With every clock pulse, a new combination of outputs may be activated, offering a highly usable and visual tool for creative modulation routing.

Please note: The A-149-2 requires the A-149-1 to function and cannot be used as a standalone module.
