Doepfer A-119 External Input

The Doepfer A-119 External Input is a preamp and envelope follower for integrating external audio—like microphones, guitars, or line-level gear—into your modular setup. This version features the classic silver Doepfer panel.

It includes both a balanced ¼" input for instruments or microphones and an unbalanced ⅛" input for line-level sources. The preamp amplifies the signal and sends it to two outputs: an envelope follower that tracks amplitude as a control voltage, and a gate signal from a comparator when the input passes an adjustable threshold.

Three LEDs provide immediate visual feedback for signal overload, envelope activity, and gate output, and the module can also be used as a compact active multiple for flexible patching.
