Doepfer A-118-2 Noise / Random Slim Line (Vintage Edition)

The Doepfer A-118-2 is a slim 4HP analog module that generates noise and random control voltages, ideal for modulation and textural audio sources. This Vintage Edition features a black panel with white printing and compact design for tight systems.

White noise and coloured noise outputs are available, with red and blue level controls that shape the spectrum of the coloured output. These same controls influence the character of the continuous random voltage, which is derived via low-pass filtering. Rate and amplitude of the continuous random signal can also be adjusted.

A built-in S&H/T&H section produces stepped random voltages from the same signal, clocked via a digital trigger or gate. Dual-colour LEDs provide visual feedback for both random voltage outputs, making this module a versatile generator of unpredictable but musically useful voltages.
