Doepfer A-118-2 Noise Slim

The Doepfer A-118-2 is a 4HP analog noise and random voltage generator designed for modulation, signal shaping, and adding unpredictability to your patches. It features Doepfer’s classic silver panel and offers a compact footprint ideal for smaller systems.

It includes white and coloured noise outputs, with adjustable red and blue components shaping the spectral balance of the coloured output. These same controls influence the continuous random voltage, whose rate and amplitude can also be independently adjusted.

A stepped random output is generated from the continuous signal using a built-in S&H/T&H circuit, clocked by an external gate or clock input. Dual-colour LEDs indicate voltage polarity for both random outputs, providing clear visual feedback for modulation behaviour.
