The VCA-4MX provides four channels of pristine, ultra-linear amplification alongside flexible, multi-tiered summing outputs for versatile signal routing.

This high-density utility module delivers the transparent, low-noise performance required for both precise control voltage routing and critical acoustic signals from DC up to 50kHz. Each independent channel features an exceptionally wide headroom, accepting hot signals up to 10V peak-to-peak without unwanted distortion or clipping.

Instead of acting as a simple utility, the module functions as a fluid routing matrix. Dedicated separate outputs allow you to patch it as four independent VCAs, while the built-in cascading logic automatically provides a single 4-into-1 mix, dual 2-into-1 sub-mixes, or inverted summing combinations. In use, the manual level controls act as precise attenuators when no CV is present, giving you tactile command over your signal levels during live performance.

The module fits into a system as a central hub for gain staging, modulation management, or final sub-mixing. Semi-logarithmic CV inputs ensure smooth, musical volume swells that mimic human hearing. Because the entire circuit is shielded against RF interference, it maintains an incredibly low noise floor even when placed next to digital modules. Note that the power connector follows Cwejman standard protocol, where the red stripe on the ribbon cable indicates the positive 12V rail.
