Dynamic trigger sequencer that turns grid controllers into a Eurorack rhythm machine
Crosspatch Triggerpad is a compact Eurorack sequencer designed to bridge the gap between modular systems and USB MIDI grid controllers. With just 6HP, it transforms devices like a Launchpad or APC into a powerful trigger programming interface, letting you build rhythms, sequences, and modulation patterns directly from an 8×8 pad grid.
Instead of relying on built-in buttons or screens, Triggerpad uses your external controller as both the display and the editing surface. Patterns appear on the grid, making it easy to sketch beats, create polyrhythms, or adjust trigger timing in real time. The workflow is designed for performance as much as programming, so rhythms can evolve while you play.
Triggerpad is not limited to simple triggers. Velocity-sensitive pads can generate dynamic gates for expressive percussion patches, while retriggering can push patterns into rapid bursts, even reaching audio-rate territory for more experimental modulation. Longer gate pulses can also be used to drive stepped CV modulation or control envelopes and switches in a patch.
By repurposing existing USB MIDI grid controllers, Triggerpad also takes a practical approach to hardware. Many musicians already have devices like Launchpads sitting unused, and this module gives them a new role at the center of a modular performance setup.
Small, flexible, and performance-focused, Triggerpad turns familiar controllers into a powerful Eurorack sequencing surface.
