The Oscar DSF Mk 2 simplifies the often-daunting world of Frequency Modulation by focusing on harmonic results rather than operator mathematics. By using Discrete Summation Formulae, the module allows you to build rich, evolving textures using just two primary controls: Partials and Mod Ratio. This approach lets you dial in everything from pure sine waves to aggressive digital growls and DX-style clangs with a clarity that remains stable across the entire pitch range.

The Mk 2 transformation turns the original oscillator into a complete standalone voice. It now features an integrated VCA with its own dedicated CV input and attenuator, allowing you to bypass external modules for simple voice duties. Each oscillator is paired with an FM-style sine wave folder, providing smooth, organic saturation that can be modulated for punchy bass or rhythmic harmonic shifts. Additionally, the new Mono Summing mode allows the two DSF oscillators to be merged into a single path; when tuned to specific intervals, this creates incredibly dense, harmonically rich mono signals that benefit from the unique "maths" of the DSF engine.
