At its heart, Alpha Duo is a dual-channel virtual analog VCA, capable of operating in three distinct modes:

• 2Q (Two-Quadrant Mode): Classic VCA behavior for clean dynamics.

• 4Q (Four-Quadrant Mode): Full ring modulation with bipolar CVs for metallic, complex tones.

• 4S (Split Mode): Two independent VCA/Ringmod processors, great for dual mono setups.

The drive section adds optional color with two selectable styles:

• Tube-style soft clipping for subtle warmth and analog saturation.

• Transistor-style hard clipping for a gritty, aggressive edge.

Use it to sculpt CVs just as easily as audio thanks to its DC-coupled signal path. The CV-controllable pan function enables animated stereo placement, while the mono/stereo toggle adapts to different patching requirements.
