STMix 1U adapts Befaco's flexible stereo summing architecture into a space-saving horizontal format. Designed specifically to fit into Intellijel-format 1U utility rows, this module lets you move essential audio summing tasks out of your main 3U space, freeing up valuable real estate for complex voice and modulation modules. The input circuitry is AC-coupled, which filters out unwanted DC offsets and subsonic rumble to guarantee optimal headroom and clean performance across your master output bus.

The hardware features four independent stereo channels, each equipped with its own volume attenuation potentiometer. The inputs are normalled, meaning you can patch a mono source into the left channel and the module will automatically center the signal across the stereo field. For visual monitoring during a live performance, the master output section features a pair of clipping LEDs that illuminate the moment your mix begins to distort, allowing you to calibrate your gain staging quickly.

On the back of the circuit board, the module includes a proprietary 6-pin expansion connector. This interface allows the unit to link directly with the Befaco Hexmix system. When connected, the module transforms from a standalone utility mixer into an auxiliary input expander, providing an efficient way to route sub-mixes, external effects returns, or polyphonic synth voices directly into your main studio monitor chain.
