The Bastl Instruments Citadel is a dual-personality Eurorack module that packs two completely different instruments into a single 16HP unit. It’s a reimagining of the beloved Kastle 2 in modular form — and comes preloaded with the FX Wizard mode, but can be flipped into Wave Bard, a stereo sample player, by reversing the faceplate and switching firmware (tools included).

Wave Bard:

An experimental stereo sample player that thrives on groove, chance, and play.
Play and transform sounds using:

• A quantised pitch input

• Built-in reverse/length envelope that morphs between decay and reversed attack

• An LFO, pattern generator, and CV/Gate outs for rhythmic creativity

• Built-in delay, chorus, flanger, and filter

• Factory sound bank by Oliver Torr, plus support for custom samples via web app
