Multi-Functional Modulation and Signal Utility

The RS-380N packs a voltage-controlled wide-range LFO, an analog white noise generator, a clockable sample-and-hold circuit, and a linear VCA into a single compact Eurorack footprint.

This module acts as a complete modulation toolkit, consolidating several essential synth building blocks behind one faceplate. Instead of taking up multiple panel locations with separate utility modules, it routes internal connections automatically, letting you generate random stepped voltages or audio-rate modulation with minimal patch cables.

In practice, the LFO spans both sub-audio movement and wide FM territory, reaching well up to 1.5 kHz on its high setting. Patching external CV into the LFO rate input pushes those frequencies even further for aggressive FM textures or ring-modulator-style effects. The sample-and-hold circuit defaults directly to the internal noise generator when no input source is patched, providing instant stepped random CV clocked straight from the internal LFO core.

The onboard VCA acts as a flexible final stage for scaling either control voltages or audio signals. Because the module integrates multiple distinct circuits into a compact area, space around individual control knobs is tight, but it offers high function density for portable racks or small system setups.
