ALM Pip Filter

The Pip Filter by ALM Busy Circuits is a compact yet powerful 2-pole low-pass filter and VCA combo designed for flexible use in any Eurorack system. With a pingable trigger input, it excels at creating plucky, percussive tones—perfect for kicks, toms, and more melodic filter-based pings.

The filter offers two CV inputs for frequency control: one with an attenuverter for precise modulation depth, and the other with rough 1V/oct tracking, making it suitable for melodic sequencing. A resonance control lets you push into self-oscillation, transforming the filter into a sine wave oscillator.

The built-in VCA is normalled to an open state but can be patched for independent amplitude control. This allows you to use Pip Filter as a standalone voice, as a traditional filter with external audio, or as a rhythmic, pingable utility filter/VCA. Its 4HP form factor and skiff-friendly depth make it ideal for compact systems.
