ALM Busy Circuits CIZZLE

The ALM Busy Circuits CIZZLE is a dual Phase Distortion oscillator that captures the lesser-known digital synthesis styles of the 1980s, particularly the sound of the Casio CZ series — but with a modern Eurorack twist.

At its core, CIZZLE uses Phase Distortion (PD) synthesis, a technique that warps sine waves through nonlinear phase modulation to produce everything from soft pads and warm textures to edgy, metallic or percussive tones. Each oscillator is fully voltage-controllable, with dedicated VCAs, and designed to work either independently or in tandem.

Oscillator A offers nine morphable PD algorithms, controllable via knob and CV input. Oscillator B adds further sonic versatility with Noise, Ring Mod, Rez (resonance), and a chord mode for lush, polyphonic stacks. A special stereo widening effect adds dimension when using the mixed output.

Whether you're after digital nostalgia or totally new territory, CIZZLE is a powerful voice for Eurorack with far more to offer than simple retro emulation.
