The Stem Ripper is ALM’s streamlined solution for in-rack multitrack recording. With eight independent audio inputs and direct-to-microSD recording, it lets you capture your entire patch in high fidelity — no external interface, mixer, or computer required.

Each of the eight inputs is recorded to its own 16-bit / 44.1 kHz WAV track. The module also stores a fixed stereo mix, great for fast reference or archiving. Thanks to its massive 20 Vpp headroom and clear LED clip indicators, Stem Ripper handles modular-level signals with ease — no distortion, no guessing.

A 64 GB microSD card is included to get you started, and the only limit to recording length is your card’s capacity (up to 1 TB supported). All files are saved with automatic date-stamped names for easy session management, powered by a battery-backed clock.

Need to keep your patch flowing? Add the optional 2HP Thru expander, which mirrors all eight inputs to unbuffered outputs — no need for stackcables.
