The VERMONA drumDING bridges classic analog synthesis and digital step sequencing in a single standalone desktop unit. At its core, it features one versatile analog synthesis voice. Instead of assigning dedicated circuits to specific drum types, this single synth engine generates everything from deep sub kicks and snappy snares to metallic FM textures. Once you dial in a tone, a single button capture converts the analog output into a digital sample, freeing the synth voice to design your next sound layer.

This commit-and-layer workflow turns sound design into an immediate live performance. You capture a hit, tweak the parameters, capture another, and sequence up to six tracks simultaneously. The onboard sequencer encourages real-time improvisation through dedicated performance keys like TEMP, which applies temporary parameter tweaks that instantly revert on release, and LOCK, which freezes knob movements into active steps. You can also bypass the internal synth engine entirely by capturing audio directly from external gear or loading standard sample files via SD card.

While limited to a single analog signal path at any given moment, this design constraint speeds up pattern creation and eliminates menu diving. The hardware relies on a flat page navigation system where every parameter maps directly to dedicated physical encoders. It functions as a complete percussion production hub, a fast sampling companion for modular rigs, or a playable hardware center for improvised hardware sets.
