Doepfer A-174-4 Joy Stick II

The Doepfer A-174-4 (Silver version) is a sophisticated 3D joystick controller for Eurorack that adds a third axis—Z-axis rotation—to the classic X/Y joystick format. This module gives you powerful gestural control, perfect for expressive modulation and live performance setups.

A single movement can generate up to 10 simultaneous control voltages:

• X, Y, and Z (rotation) outputs

• Inverted X, Y, and Z outputs

• Four additional CV outputs based on the stick’s distance and position in each quadrant (Q1–Q4)

Pushing the joystick knob also produces a gate signal, adding another layer of interactivity. The output range is ±5V and can be offset by +5V internally.
