The Doepfer A-130-3 packs two completely independent VCAs into a space-saving 1U form factor. Each channel features a dedicated manual gain control and a CV input with an attenuator, allowing precise level adjustment for both static balance and dynamic modulation. The signal inputs handle high-amplitude signals up to 16Vpp without unwanted clipping, making the module equally effective for processing high-level audio signals or taming aggressive modulation sources.

A switch on each VCA toggles between linear and exponential control response. Select linear mode for CV applications such as scaling LFO depths or envelope amounts without altering their original curve shapes. Switch to exponential mode to achieve natural, punchy volume dynamics when processing audio. Direct DC coupling throughout the module ensures clean signal transmission across all frequency ranges.
