The Oscar Tria Mk 2 takes the "big stereo sound" concept of the original and refines it with redesigned analog circuitry and expanded modulation depth. While many oscillators force you to choose between vintage warmth or digital complexity, the Tria Mk 2 offers three color-coded modes that cover the entire spectrum. The Mk 2 version adds a dedicated wave folder for the analog engine, wider chord voicings, and an additional CV input with an attenuator to handle more complex patches.
Whether you’re looking for a phase-aligned "super-saw" rave lead or a five-octave generative chord sequence, this module delivers it in a wide stereo image. For those running more traditional mono rigs, the Mk 2 introduces a clever Mono Summing option; a simple switch merges the stereo signals and sends a unified mono mix to both output jacks, ensuring total compatibility with any system.
The Three Engines
-
Green (Classic Analog): A stereo adaptation of a traditional VCO. Morph between triangle, saw, and pulse waves while adding up to two square sub-octaves. The Mk 2 introduces a Wave Folder and dedicated knob to push these shapes into aggressive, metallic territory. Includes through-zero FM and hard sync.
-
Yellow (Super-Wave): Designed for the "wall of sound" aesthetic. This mode stacks up to 24 oscillators (12 per channel) in saw, square, or triangle configurations. New to the Mk 2 is Detune Spread control, allowing you to move from a tight, shimmering unison to a chaotic, wide swarm via CV.
-
Orange (Chord Engine): A polyphonic generator with 20 preset chord types. The Mk 2 expands the note spread from two to five octaves and adds dedicated CV inputs for both chord selection and note count, making it a powerful tool for melodic sequencing.
